  • Post-Doctoral Scientist, Joint Research Programme of ENGREF (École Nationale du Génie Rural, des Eaux et des Forêts) & LAMSADE (Laboratoire d'Analyse et de Modélisation de Systèmes pour l'Aide à la Décision), University of Paris-Dauphine, Paris, France during February–July 2000 under the Supervision of Prof. Lucien Duckstein in the Field of Multicriterion Decision Making with reference to Water Resources Planning.
  • Ph.D.(Water Resources Engineering) in Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, in August 1996 under the guidance of Prof C.R.S.Pillai. The study title is ‘Studies on Multicriterion Decision Making Methods and Management of Irrigation Systems (Experts appreciate the dissertation as a contribution to multicriterion decision making).

Profile 

Dr. K. Srinivasa Raju is a senior professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani- Hyderabad Campus, India. He completed his M. Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and Ph. D. from IIT Kharagpur in Water Resources Engineering. He worked with Prof Lucien Duckstein in Multicriterion Decision Making (MCDM) regarding Water Resources Planning during his postdoctoral program in France. His main research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Impact of Climate Change,  Multicriterion Decision Making, and Evolutionary Algorithms. 

He has authored three books along with Prof D. Nagesh Kumar, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (1) Fluid Mechanics: Problem-solving using MATLAB (2020), Prentice Hall of India (PHI), New Delhi (2) Impact of Climate Change on Water Resources (2018), Springer (3) Multicriterion Analysis in Engineering and Management (2010), Prentice Hall of India (PHI), New Delhi

He published 59 papers in journals of repute, 13 papers in book chapters, and 89 in conferences. He edited five books and was a guest editor for three special issues of journals. 

He has been a reviewer for more than 45 international journals. He is the Editor of the Journal of Water and Climate Change, IWA Publishing, and Associate Editor of ISH Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, Taylor & Francis.

He completed six sponsored projects, including three collaborative projects with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, on Climate Modelling, rainfall-runoff modelling, and Integrated Urban Flood Management.
