About the Faculty
Through this page, I would like to introduce myself as Yuvraj.
I am an M. Pharm (2012, IIT BHU) and a PhD (2017, CSIR-CDRI) in ‘Pharmaceutics’ and have worked for six years in Pharmaceutical R&D industry. Subsequently I have joined BITS Pilani-Hyderabad campus, with the intention of amalgamating academics and translatable pharmaceutical research.
Brief work history: Post PhD I was part of Nasal/Injectable Division of Proprietary Products (PP), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (DRL) in the capacity of a formulation scientist. In April 2021, I moved to Global Life Cycle Management Division of Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Hyderabad, as a formulation scientist.
Brief Research history:
At Dr. Reddy’s Labs I was engaged in development of differentiated nasal, parenteral and complex oral formulation(s) from conception to POC studies in preclinical models and humans. The larger goal was development of products which translate to New Drug Application (NDA) / 505(b)(2) approval in Regulated markets for CNS disorders like Migraine, Parkinson's disease (PD) and Epilepsy.
At Ferring Pharmaceuticals, I was tasked with global life cycle management of existing product portfolio of the company. This involved catering to existing product deficiencies by reformulating them to a form which yields improved benefits to the patient.
Both these research exercises required working in close collaboration with cross functional stakeholders – DQA/ RA/ DMPK/ In-silico prediction/ Toxicology/ IPM teams to drive the projects further.
