On 29 September 2022, the Social and Environmental Club organized Dandiya Night to celebrate culture, dance and community. The “Lighting of the Lamp” ceremony marked the start of the event. Dr. Srinivasan Madapusi, Director along with Dr. Priti Bajpai, Student Welfare Dean and Dr. Geetha Kannan, faculty-in-charge all took part in the ceremony. The event was sponsored by C.C.D Chaat Coffee Restaurant, Al Karma, who set up a food stall for the attendees to enjoy. The food served by them was a perfect mix of Indian street food, serving the taste buds of all who visited the stall. 400+ people attended the event. The entire venue was adorned with beautiful traditional decorations, with a stunning back-drop being the highlight. All the attendees were seen wearing traditional Indian clothing such as kurtas, ghagras and lehengas and were given Dandiya sticks and many were seen enthusiastically joining the Dandiya circle dances, enhancing the music in the background.
