Dr R Gomathi Bhavani organized a workshop on Lighting Design, which was inaugurated by our respected director Prof. Srinivasan Madapusi. Mr Steve Lobo who graduated with a B.E in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BPDC in 2018 was the resource person. He currently works as a utilities Engineer at WSP Middle East and has a keen interest in urban utility planning and city infrastructure design. He explained how effective lighting design can help reduce light pollution and have a major impact on the environment and different living species. Students were also taught a hands-on component on street lighting design.
