Prof. R. Mahesh, Senior Professor, Dept. of Pharmacy, has attended and presented a paper in the “6th Annual Conference of Aston India Centre for Applied Research: India and the VUCA World” at Aston Business School, Birmingham, UK on 1-2 September, 2024. The title of his paper was “The Post-Covid Era of Higher Education in India: Trends, Challenges, and Strategic Insights form a Global Perspective”.
VUCA is a buzz word that stands for Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity in the current era. It signifies that our world that is characterized by rapid change, unpredictability, and ambiguity. Key themes include economic opportunities, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, geopolitics, technological advances, and the future of family businesses and SMEs. During the conference, Prof. Mahesh emphasized the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, outlining its significance for fostering global research collaborations. His presentation highlighted the NEP's focus on promoting interdisciplinary research and expanding international partnerships to enhance educational and research outcomes in India.
