We are seeking enthusiastic PhD candidates for translational research on lung aging and disease. The project investigates the impact of air pollution, specifically particulate matter (PM2.5), on lung mechanobiology and its role in accelerating lung aging and disease progression.
Our research employs high-resolution quantitative microscopy on in vitro 3D lung models. Candidates with skills in cellular assays, microscopy, and image analysis are preferred but not essential.
This is a fully funded position by BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus for 5 years. Candidates without their own fellowship will need to participate in the institute’s selection process, while those with independent fellowships are strongly encouraged to apply.
All interested candidates are requested to apply by November 18, 2024.
