About the Faculty

Dr. Jayashree Mahesh is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Management of Birla Institute of Technology & Science - (BITS)- Pilani, Pilani Campus. She has a PhD degree from BITS- Pilani. The title of her thesis is 'Indian' Management Practices in the I.T. Sector - An Empirical Investigation.

She has more than 16 years of teaching experience. She has developed content and taught courses on HR & OB, Behavioral Competencies, Managerial Communication, Leadership, Change Management and Performance Management. She has developed and established the 'Personality Orientation Teamwork and Leadership - (PILOT)' Lab that focuses on imparting training workshops and courses for graduate students in the areas related to self awareness,  personal brand development, teamwork skills, and leadership orientation in order to help students realize their potential. She has also conducted Development Workshops in the area of Self Awareness and Leading with Emotional Intelligence.

Her research interests are in the area of Innovative Pedagogies for Student Engagement, Leadership and Futuristic Skills for Generation Z, Mindfulness and Employee Wellbeing, Wellbeing oriented HR Practices, Performance and Talent Management Practices, Cross Cultural Management, Indian Management and Culture.

She is a member of the Academy of Management, British Academy of Management and INDAM (an affiliate of AOM). She has successfully completed her Accreditation to be a MBTI Certified Practitioner and Belbin Team Roles Trainer

Through positive student relationships, she aims to create teaching spaces that help students break mental barriers, develop social and critical skills thereby leading to their self-actualization.
