About the Faculty

Dr. Kiran D. Mali is presently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, BITS-Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus. He joined BITS Pilani K. K. Birla Goa Campus in 2007 as a Lecturer. He has 16 years of teaching experience. Dr. Kiran D. Mali obtained his Ph. D. from BITS - Pilani, (2016). He has completed his Master’s Degree in Design Engineering, M.E. (Mech.) Design Engg., from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 2006. He teaches courses such as Mechanics of Solids, Mechanical Vibrations, Advanced Mechanics of Solids, Kinematics and Dynamics of Machines/Mechanisms and Machines and Automotive vehicles. His research areas include vibration analysis of mechanical structures, Crashworthiness of vehicles, Material development and testing. He has published several research papers in reputed international journals. Also, He has presented/published his work at international conferences held abroad and in India at different prestigious institutes including IIT’s, NIT’s in the conferences such as International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV), International Conference on Vibration Problems (ICOVP), Indian Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ISTAM international meet), Asia and Pacific Young Researchers and Graduates Symposium (YRGS), ASME's International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE) at Florida USA.
