The O.P. Jindal Group has announced O.P. Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarships (OPJEMS) for the year 2016. Instituted in 2007, these scholarships are aimed at promoting academic and leadership excellence. OPJEMS are awarded to meritorious students who emulate the vision and values of Shri O.P. Jindal and have the potential to become leaders in entrepreneurial excellence and innovation.

First three toppers of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year based on the academic performance in the previous years (CGPA) of engineering streams namely Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering are chosen from 24 engineering institutes of repute such as IITs, NITs, BITS, Pilani and Delhi Technological University to compete for OPJEM scholarships. The selection process involves the evaluation of leadership behaviors through Online Test and personality factors through Personal Interview of short listed students.

This year, twenty four students had been shortlisted from BITS, Pilani for the OPJEMS - 2016. And finally, five students from BITS, Pilani have won OPJEM scholarships worth Rs. 80,000 each. They are Harsh Sharma (2014A4PS405P), Sishir Suresh Mohammed (2015A4PS136P), Pragyan Trivedi Priyamedh (2013A4PS063P), Prithu Mitash (2013A4PS392P) and Prateek Arora (2014A2PS556P).
