Short Bio: Dr Gaurav Watts is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, where he has been passionately shaping the minds of aspiring engineers since 2018. He embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, Punjab, India. Building upon this foundation, he pursued a Master's in Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, India deepening his understanding of Mechanical Engineering. His academic pursuits reached their pinnacle with a PhD in Computational Solid Mechanics from the prestigious Department of Applied Mechanics at IIT Delhi. His research interests include Composite Structures, Finite Element Analysis, Meshfree Methods, and Isogeometric Analysis. Through dedicated research, he has contributed to high-impact international journals, exploring innovative solutions to real-world engineering challenges. As an educator, he aims to inspire and cultivate a passion for learning among the students. He believes in fostering an interactive and engaging learning environment that extends beyond the confines of the classroom.
