BITS Placements 2023

New Level Unlocked!

Levelling up is in the DNA of every student, teacher and alum at BITS. It’s no surprise then, that the outcome from the campus placements in 2023 saw a ‘Boss’ level outcome. In the academic year AY 22-23, approximately 3,000 students secured offers through on-campus placements and pre-placement offers (PPOs), elevating the overall placement percentage for the year to an impressive 90%. This meant 3200 placement offers, including summer internships. Onboarding a record 595 unique companies is another achievement badge on the BITS leaderboard.

If you think that’s remarkable, the average annual salary was ₹ 20.7 LPA, 11% higher than the previous year. That’s the average annual return on a mutual fund investment! Talk about staying ahead of the game. The companies rolling out these offers include tech giants & global investment banks like Google, Microsoft, Uber, JP Morgan, and Bloomberg, alongside core companies such as General Electric, Honeywell, Dover, Tata Motors, Volvo Eicher, Ramboll, Arup, Biocon Biologics, Pfizer, and Dr. Reddy's from various sectors like Mechanical, Engineering, Chemical, Banking, and Pharma. In the electronics sector, Qualcomm has rolled out over 100 job offers. Management consulting roles with industry leaders such as BCG, Bain & Co, and McKinsey & Co will further enrich the spectrum of career paths available to the freshers who applied.

We believe the success of our students at the 2023 placements is a result of the combination of a world-class curriculum and a hardworking young mind. While the job market across the world is seeing a downward trajectory, the placement stories at BITS last year paint an altogether different picture. It is also a testament to the value that BITS as an institution holds in hiring firms across our country.
