I am an assistant professor at CS & IS department, BITS Pilani, Goa. My research interests are natural language processing (NLP), text mining, and deep learning. In the current semester, I teach NLP to the third and fourth year undergraduate students. I received PhD in computer science from Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) Unit, Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata in April 2019. My PhD thesis focused on morphological analysis of Indic languages using statistical and neural network-based models. From July 2019 to March 2024, I worked as a researcher at Advanced Translation Technology Laboratory (ATT-Lab, https://att-astrec.nict.go.jp/en/) of National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Kyoto, Japan where I explored neural machine translation for low-resource Asian languages.
