Applications are invited for the positions of Junior Research Fellow to work on the following project sponsored by ISRO under the supervision of Dr. Amit Kumar Gupta (PI) and Dr. G Pardha Saradhi (Co-PI), Dept. of Mechanical Engineering.

Title of the project: RES-URSC-2023-008: Characterization & training of indigenously developed Ni-Ti based Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) for spacecraft
application.

Brief Description: The research work would involve thermo-mechanical characterization, testing, training, shape setting and demonstration of the shape memory effect using indigenously manufactured NiTiNOL wire for the aerospace applications.

Duration of the project: Two years

Project position and number: Junior Research Fellow – 1 position

Fellowship amount: Rs. 37,000/- + 30 % HRA per month

Eligibility requirements: M.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Mechanical / Applied Mechanics / Engineering Design / Electrical and Electronics / Materials Science or in relevant areas. An exceptionally good candidate with B.E. / B.Tech. degree is encouraged to apply. Candidates with publication(s) will be given priority and GATE will be an add-on advantage.
