Applications are invited for the position of Project Technical Support-III in the Department of Chemistry at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) sponsored research project on Effect of Posttranslational modifications on lens proteins.
Principal Investigator: Sandip K Nandi, Ph.D.
Co-Principal Investigator: Woormileela Sinha, Ph.D.
Broad area of Research: Protein Biochemistry and Biophysical chemistry
Project Details: i) This project will involve cloning, expression & purification of recombinant proteins and their biophysical characterization.
iii) Synthesis and characterization of small molecules.
Duration of the project: 3 years. (The appointment will be renewed every year based on satisfactory performance).
Fellowship Amount (Rs.): Rs. 28,000.00 per month + HRA (as applicable)
Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subjected to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.
Qualification: Candidates with M.Sc. (Chemistry or Biotechnology or Life Sciences) or M.Tech./M.Pharm (Biotechnology) are eligible to apply. Candidates who qualified NET or GATE or any other national level examination conducted by central government departments or their agencies like DST, DBT, ICAR, ICMR, DRDO, etc. will get preference.

Selected candidate will get a chance to register for Ph.D. program at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus after at least 6 months of joining (subjected to successful clearance of Ph.D. admission process).
