Upon arrival, participants will attend a small orientation session to acquaint them with local customs, safety guidelines and programme expectations by BITS Pilani faculty.
Participants will attend lectures by experienced faculty members and expert guest speakers to gain unique insights and diverse perspectives on Dubai’s social, political, and cultural landscape.
Participants will discover Dubai’s traditions, history, and modern innovations, visit iconic landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, explore traditional Souq, and attend cultural festivals. They will also interact with local communities.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn basic conversational phrases in Arabic. Cultural workshops will focus on activities such as traditional dance, music and art forms, providing hands-on experiences of Dubai’s rich heritage.
Participants will have group discussions and presentations to deepen their understanding of the topics covered. A participant will be awarded 3 units. This amounts to daily lectures for 10 days and field visits every day for 10 days. Participants also have the option to get credits transferred to their home institute.
The IPCD office at respective campuses will be available to assist participants throughout the 2-week programme. A letter of Invitation towards applying for a VISA to attend the programme will be provided to the participants.
The programme will conclude at the end of the 2nd week with a closing ceremony where participants will showcase their learnings and experiences.
