Delivering a therapeutic drug level to sensitive or damaged organs is challenging, often requiring high dosages, which may harm the organ and surrounding structures
An implantable drug delivery patch is developed for sustained, unidirectional drug release directly to an organ's surface, enhancing site-specific treatment efficacy.
The patch utilizes a substrate with pharmaceuticals between two polymer layers, where the second layer is impermeable, ensuring precise, unidirectional drug release to the organ, optimizing treatment efficacy and safety.
Potential Indian Clients: Pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, research institutions, and medical device manufacturers.
