We are delighted to announce that Finance Minister Smt Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated our fifth campus in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (near Kalyan) on 24 Feb 2024 in the presence of our Chancellor, Mr Kumar Mangalam Birla. This campus will house our BITS School of Management (BITSoM), BITS Law School (BITSLAW), and BITS Design School (BITSDES). It is a digital-first campus, with a Centre of Excellence and an Academic Building collectively housing the library, a startup incubation center, classrooms equipped for hybrid teaching, an event hall, video and podcast studios, tutorial rooms, and trans-disciplinary learning and collaboration spaces. The campus is fully residential and can accommodate 5000 students when fully developed. It also has sports facilities, a gymnasium, and a cafeteria. Spread across 63 acres, 80% of the space is dedicated to lush green landscaping. The campus has a zero-discharge scheme with 100% recycled water utilization, energy-saving lighting systems, and solar power with a vision towards a zero-carbon footprint.
