Assistant Professor, Gr-I
I am an assistant professor at Computer Science & Information Systems (CSIS) department, BITS Pilani, Goa. My research interests are natural language processing (NLP), text mining, and deep learning. More specifically, I am interested in NLP for Indic languages. I received PhD in computer science from Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) Unit of Indian Statistical Institute in April 2019. My PhD thesis focused on morphological analysis of Indic languages using statistical and neural network-based models. From July 2019 to March 2024, I worked as a researcher at Advanced Translation Technology Laboratory of NICT, Japan where I explored neural machine translation for low-resource Asian languages.
