A passionate educator and researcher in the area of ‘Renewable Energy’, in general, and ‘Solar Photovoltaics’ and ‘Wind Energy’, in particular. Has extensive experience of over 33 years in Research and Consultancy and, Teaching at under-graduate and post-graduate level. Has extensive education management and administrative work experience in Government and Non-Government organizations.
Has guided Ph.D. research in the field of Renewable Energy Planning, Scheduling, Analysis, Modeling, Simulation and System Designs for Solar Photovoltaic and Wind Energy Conversion Systems. Has conducted many industry relevant projects in the areas of electrical energy conservation management, and has been recognized for his services as empaneled energy consultant by national and international agencies participating in USAID’s- EMCAT Program in India.
Currently, guiding projects involving students of the Institute for development of web-based applications for performance monitoring for the existing electrical energy distribution system, solar Photovoltaic Systems, and, the Central Air-conditioning System installed on Campus. Also, currently supervising a funded research and development project entitled “Impacts of Variations in Climate Change and Site-conditions on Field-performance of Grid Integrated Solar Photovoltaic and Small Wind Energy Conversion System on Campus of the Institute. Interested in multi-disciplinary research areas, such as following but not limited to: Advancement of innovations in remote monitoring of performance of electrical energy infra-structure for Smart Grids, Development of AI based models for prognostic diagnosis and fault-analysis of energy systems.
