Novel Synthesis of Inorganic and Solid State Materials, Characterization, Structure-Properties Correlations and Investigation on their Potential Applications

Selected Topics of Interest: 

  1. Development of nano-materials based on Ortho-Ferrites/ RE doped Ferrites/ their hybrids for various applications: Photocatalysis, Magnetic pigments, Water treatment etc. 
  2. Magnetics, Mossbauer of Ultrafine Co and Ni based Ferrites and related materials for magnetic and bio-applications. 
  3. Magnetic Properties of Metal/Alloy nano-particles for magnetic data-storage and electro-chemical appl.
  4. Synthesis and Electronic Properties of semiconductor quantum dots (ZnS, CdS and related). 
  5. Size and shape induced magnetic and electronic properties (Properties tuning for application)
  6. Solid-gas reaction-Generation of nano-dimensional transition metal nitrides (Catalysis and energy applications.)
  7. Hydroxy-apatite related Bio-materials. 
  8. Correlation of physical properties with materials structure at the surface along with microstructure. 
  9. Coated and embedded nano-structured for Bio- and magnetic applications.
