About the Faculty

Dr. Sudipta Chatterjee has joined this institute in April 2022 as an Assistant Professor in the department of Chemistry. Before joining BITS Pilani K K Birla Goa campus, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University in USA (from 2017-2019) followed by KAUST in Saudi Arabia (from 2019-2022). His research interest lies in the field of Electrocatalytic Transformations of small molecules to produce value added products. Apart from academic, Dr. Chatterjee enjoys playing various indoor and outdoor games, traveling, listening to music etc.

Research Interest

  • Our group focuses on Synthesis, Characterization and Reactivity of various Inorganic/Organo-metallic complexes as well as Bio-inspired enzyme active sites for small molecule activation/reduction towards sustainable Energy and Environment. An array of Electrochemical, Spectroscopic and Spectro-electrochemical methods will be utilized to explore the mechanisms of these electrochemical transformations both in the solution and on the surface.
