The 32nd CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry (CRSI-NSC-32) will be held at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani), Pilani Campus from February 02-04, 2024 and 17th CRSI-RSC Joint Symposium will be held on February 01, 2024. The CRSI-NSC intends to bring together eminent scientists, technologists, and young researchers to provide a platform for discussing their achievements and newer research directions in the chemical and allied sciences field. The forum will create opportunities to build long-lasting collaborative endeavors in the frontier areas of chemistry. The symposium includes medal lectures, RSC-CRSI lectures, poster presentations, and special lectures by eminent scientists working in the allied areas of chemistry from India and abroad. The organizing committee at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus is pleased to invite you to this symposium.

Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI)

The Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) was established in 1999 as part of the 50th Anniversary of the country’s independence. Currently, the CRSI represents more than 3500 lifetime members, who participate in the study, practice, teaching and promotion of Chemistry. The main objectives of the CRSI are to recognize, promote and foster talent in Chemistry and Chemical Sciences and to improve the quality of Chemical education at all levels. The society has active collaboration with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), London, the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Asian Chemical Editorial Society (ACES), the German Chemical Society (GDCh) and the French Chemical Society.

The Department of Chemistry, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, is one of the oldest departments on campus. It offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs which are well-received by the students. Over the years, the department has grown with strong research interests in all fields of chemistry. Equipped with a state-of-the-art instrumentation facility and research laboratories, the Department is counted among the best departments for education in Chemistry across the country. The department is recognized under DST-FIST and UGC-SAP programs. Faculty members have received significant research funds from national agencies including CSIR, DST, UGC, DBT, and DRDO as well as Industries such as Aditya Birla Group, Ranbaxy Laboratories etc. The Department has active research collaboration at the national and international levels.
