Brief Bio:

Prof. Neha Tak received her B.Tech. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Techno India NJR Institute of Technology (RTU), Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, in 2012. She was University topper of Rajasthan and received several awards. From July 2012 to June 2014, she worked as a lecturer in TINIT, Udaipur. She was awarded as ‘Best Faculty’ of TINIT in 2013. Afterwards, she completed her M. Tech. degree in Electric Drives and Power Electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India, in 2016. After post-graduation, she joined TINIT, Udaipur as an Assistant Professor from July 2016 to November 2017. In December 2017, she joined as a Research Engineer at Zunik Energies Pvt. Ltd. (IIT incubated start-up).

In January 2019, she joined Ph.D. programme in Power Electronics specialization at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. She got ‘Global Distinguished Young Scientists award’: issued by IEEE Industry application society in March 2023. She also got ‘Best Paper Award’ in IEEE International Conference GlobConHT 2023. During her tenure at IIT Delhi, she was awarded with CSIR travel award, Research excellence travel award and Research scholar travel award to attend the worldwide conferences. Her broad area of research includes multilevel inverter topology, modulation technique and applications for solar PV application and economic utilization of upcoming power electronic devices and power electronic converters mainly for medium voltage high power application. She proposed a new asymmetrical multilevel inverter using Level Doubling Network principle. She has published several IEEE transactions and journal papers in addition to several patents and several IEEE international conference papers. She completed her PhD in August 2023 and afterwards, she worked as an Early Doc Fellow at IIT Delhi.  

She joined BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus as an Assistant Professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the May 2024.
