Dr. Manoj K Jha is the Professor of Practice in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS-Pilani Hyderabad, India. He is also the Director of Advanced Analytics and Data Science at the Brite Group in Leesburg, VA, USA; an Adjunct Associate Professor of Data Science at the University of Maryland Global Campus, USA; and an Adjunct Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the George Washington University, USA. His research areas of interest are Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Civil Engineering and Transportation.

Dr. Jha earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA in 2000, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Old Dominion University, USA in 1993, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology-Durgapur, India in 1991. He also attended the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA as a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering between 1993-1994. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Maryland, USA.

Dr. Jha has worked on many Federal and State projects in the USA in data analytics, optimization, civil engineering, and transportation. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and written a book titled “Intelligent Road Design”. He serves as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Computational and Cognitive Engineering; and International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Business and Management. He also serves as an Editorial Review Board Member of the International Journal of Operations Research and Information Systems.
