Short Bio

Murari Varma is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. His areas of research include the hydrology of watersheds both in urban and non-urban settings and the Modelling of water quality in Surface Water. He is also currently part of a project in the use of evolutionary algorithms in the design of water distribution networks. He offers courses related to Environmental Engineering, Hydrology and Water Resources, Energy-efficient buildings, Urban and Rural Sanitation, etc.
