Dr. Aravind Rudrarapu
Fellowship: National Post Doctoral Fellow (N-PDF DST SERB) Title of the Work: Synthesis of transition metal-phosphate-based nanocomposites and investigation of their applications towards thermal energy storage, thermal management and solar thermal energy storage His research focusses on the synthesis of transition metal-based nanocomposites and their characterization utilizing techniques like XRD, XPS, UV-Vis, Mass, NMR, TGA, DTG, CHNS, ICP-OES, FTIR, SEM-EDS, particle analysis, and HR-TEM. Their thermal properties were studied using DSC, leading to proposed applications in thermal energy storage (sensible heat and phase change), heat dissipation, building envelope materials, and thermo-oxidative degradation of polymers. His postdoctoral work expands to the fabrication of two-step phase change heat transfer fluids and solar thermal H2 generation from pulverized waste plastic and high-density H2 storage using Metal-Amphoteric Frameworks (MaF).
