There are several ongoing projects in our lab. Please contact me for more information.
Antimicrobial Dressings for Wound Healing Applications: We are trying to develop facile strategies for the fabrication of antimicrobial dressings that can aid in prevention and mitigation of wound infections. A part of this work is in collaboration with Prof. Swati Biswas from Pharmacy department @BPHC.
Copper-containing Coatings for Antimicrobial Applications: We are working on fabrication of copper-based coatings for application as antimicrobial surfaces for infection control.
Machine-learning Based Model Development of Antimicrobial Peptides: With a steady rise in antimicrobial resistance, the world is now speeding up the discovery of novel antimicrobial therapeutics. In collaboration with Dr. Arnab Dutta and Prof. Swati Biswas, we are trying to discover novel antimicrobial peptides using an integrated computational-experimental approach.
Nanopatterned Surfaces for Antimicrobial Application: In this project, we are exploring surfaces patterned with micron-scale and nano-scale structures for the development of fouling-resistant and mechano-bactericidal surfaces. This work is in collaboration with Dr. Nandini Bhandaru.
Development of Bacteria Detection Sensors: In collaboration with Dr. Ramendra Pal, we are trying to develop point-of-care diagnostic tools for the detection of infection in wounds.
