Projects

  1. Worked as Scientist D for the project entitled “The long-term effect of COVID-19 on the cognitive health of the survivors and its neural underpinnings The project was funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). I drafted this project under the guidance of my mentor Prof. Atanu Biswas who was the principal investigator of this project. A research grant of INR 98, 57,240 was approved for the project.
  2. Granted Fulbright –Nehru Postdoctoral fellowship for the project entitled “The role of context in irony and metaphor comprehension: with reference to the patients with focal brain lesions”. Granted for 2 years. 22nd August 2016 to 21st August 2018. Amount: $80740 (Rs. 5523423.4).
  3. Principal investigator of the DST funded project entitled “Study of pragmatic deficits in patients with schizophrenia and right hemisphere damage: Do the patterns converge?” Granted for 2 years. From 6th July 2015 to 5th July 2017 but completed in August 5th 2016. Amount Rs. 1892000
  4. Principal investigator of the DST funded project entitled “Bangla audio-visual test battery for assessment of dyshyponoia”. 2 years 6 months. From 1st April 2012 to Oct 2014. Amount Rs: 1458000
  5. Principal investigator of the project entitled “Comparative Analysis of prosody in Bangla speaking normal and hearing impaired”, funded by National Institute of Hearing Handicapped for 3 years from 6.8.2008. Amount: Rs. 5,18,000
  6. Principal investigator of the project entitled “Application of natural phonology in therapeutic management of hearing-impaired patients”, funded by National Institute of Hearing Handicapped for 3 years from 6.8.2008. Amount : Rs. 443000.
