On the occasion of 26 January 2025, 76^th Republic Day was celebrated in BITS Pilani, Pilani campus. The Programme began at 9:00 am with the National song. Prof V Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor, BITS Pilani did the flag hoisting, a moment of pride for all the participants. Col. Soumyabrata Chakraborty(Retired) Registrar, BITS Pilani, and Prof. NVM Rao, Dean Administration, BITS Pilani, Pilani campus also graced the event. The programme was attended by both faculty and students. The Guard of Honor was given by Mr. Kishore Singh, the Chief Security Officer and his team. Prof. B. R. Ambedkar, the head of the Constitution committee and the people who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our country were remembered on the day. The fervor of patriotism, unified diversity and rich cultural heritage of India was beautifully brought forth through the songs sung by the students under the guidance of Dr. Anil Rai and the poem recited by Prof. Sushila Shekhawat. The National Pledge, an oath of allegiance to the Republic of India, was administered by Ms. Ananya. The programme ended with the National anthem sung with enthusiasm by all.
