BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus, on the momentous occasion of 60 years of BITS Pilani University & 20 years of the Goa Campus, observed the Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October, by conducting an Awareness Talk on Breast Cancer for the less-privileged ladies of the nearby Zari and Zuarinagar areas at Kiran Niketan Primary School, Zuarinagar. 

The awareness talk was delivered by the Institute doctor Dr. Nayana Kantak and was attended by around 50 ladies.  This was followed by the ladies registering for the Breast Cancer Screening camp, to be organized at the campus Medical Centre on 22^nd October, 2024.

Dr. Kantak made the ladies aware of the incidence of Breast Cancer in women, its warning signs, self-testing and testing modalities available.  This initiative was spearheaded jointly by the Campus Outreach team and the student-led NGO of the Institute, NIRMAAN.
