BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus welcomed a delegation from Ben-Gurion University (BGU), Israel, on 9th January 2025. The visit marked an important step in developing academic collaborations and promoting global research exchanges between BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus and Ben Gurion University, Israel.
The delegation led by Prof. Daniel Chamovitz, President and Full Professor at the School of Sustainability and Climate Change, BGU, Israel included Prof. Robert Moskovitch, Associate Professor, Department of Software and Information Systems Engineering; Prof. Yaniv Gelbstein, Associate Professor and Dean of Engineering; Prof. Michal Bar-Asher Segal, Associate Professor, Department of Jewish Thought and Vice President for Global Engagement at BGU, Israel and Mr. Gary Sussman, Knysna Advisory Limited.
During the visit, the guests were welcomed by the Prof Suman Kundu, Director, K K Birla Goa Campus, Prof Srikanth Mutnuri, Dean (University Wide), International Programmes and Collaboration Division (IPCD), Prof Rajesh Mehrotra, Associate Dean, IPCD. The meeting was also attended by the Associate Deans and Head of Departments of Biological Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, CSIS Engineering and Head of Anuradha and Prashanth Palakurthi Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (APPCAIR) at K K Birla Goa Campus.
The BGU delegation had a fruitful interaction towards potential collaborative research opportunities, faculty and student exchange programs, and initiatives addressing challenges in sustainability and engineering.
