On the occasion of 2nd October 2024, Gandhi Jayanti and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti was celebrated in BITS Pilani, Pilani campus. The Programme began at 9:30 am with the traditional lamp lighting by Director BITS Pilani, Pilani campus, Prof Sudhirkumar Barai, Registrar Col. Soumyabrata Chakraborty (Retd), and Prof NVM Rao, Dean Administration BITS, Pilani, Pilani Campus. This was followed by bhajans sung by the kids of Blossoms Kids Zone which mesmerized the audience with the aura of innocence. Documentaries on Gandhiji and on the teachings of Gandhiji and Shastriji were also shown. The bhajans sung by the students of BITS, Pilani under the guidance of Dr. Anil Rai filled the audience with new vigour. Oath was also administered and the programme ended with the floral tribute to Gandhiji and Shastriji followed by National anthem sung by all with enthusiasm. The event was coordinated by Prof Sushila Shekhawat, Faculty In-charge, Infant Care Centre and Institute Functions.
