International Invited Seminar “Neuroimaging in Mental Health: A Window into the Living Brain”

The Department of Pharmacy at BITS-Pilani, Pilani campus, hosted an international lecture by Dr. Sridhar Natesan, a distinguished BITS Pilani alumnus and Senior Researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London. The event commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. NVM Rao, Dean Administrative, and Prof. Rajeev Taliyan, HoD Pharmacy. Prof. Deepak Chitkara provided an engaging introduction to Dr. Natesan’s distinguished career and contributions.

Dr. Sridhar’s lecture, titled "Neuroimaging in Mental Health: A Window into the Living Brain," explored the critical role of neuroimaging techniques in the early diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, and dementia. His presentation shed light on how advanced imaging technologies are transforming the understanding of the brain’s functions in real-time, aiding in more precise medical interventions.
