Vidwanotsav : Ph.D Fest

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, Hyderabad campus came alive with enthusiasm and intellectual fervor as it hosted the annual Vidwanotsav PhD Fest, a celebration dedicated to the academic and cultural pursuits of its doctoral scholars. The event, marked by a blend of scholarly activities, sports, and cultural programs, drew participants and attendees from various disciplines, highlighting the diverse talents and collaborative spirit within the PhD community. The grand inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Goutham Mangari , Senior Director at Oracle, who officially opened the fest with an inspiring keynote address. Goutham Mangari emphasized the importance of research and innovation in driving societal progress and encouraged scholars to pursue their studies with dedication and curiosity. One of the highlights was the poster competition, where scholars presented their research findings through visually engaging posters. The competition saw entries from various fields, including science, engineering, humanities, and social sciences, showcasing the breadth and depth of research at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus. In addition to the academic pursuits, the fest also included a series of sports events that fostered camaraderie and team spirit among the participants. From cricket and football to badminton and table tennis, the sports competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation, with scholars showcasing their athletic prowess and sportsmanship. The competitive yet friendly atmosphere added an extra layer of excitement to the fest, providing a well-rounded experience for all attendees. Cultural programs added vibrancy to the event, with performances ranging from tradition, music, rangoli and art exhibition to contemporary acts. These cultural showcases highlighted the rich cultural heritage and diverse talents of the PhD scholars. Vidwanotsav PhD Fest not only provided a platform for scholarly exchange and networking but also fostered a sense of community and belonging among the doctoral scholars.
