Asish Bera is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan. He received Ph.D. degree from the Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and M. Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, WB. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate (UKIERI-DST) at the Intelligent Visual Computing Centre, Department of Computer Science, Edge Hill University, Lancashire, U.K. His works are also collaborated with the Durham University UK, University of Hradec Kralove Czech Republic, and national universities/institutes. His research interests include Applications of AI in Agriculture, Biomedical Image Processing, Biometrics, and Human Activity Recognition. He has authored research articles in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision (IEEE Trans Image Processing, IEEE Trans SMC: Systems, IEEE Trans Instrument and Measurement, AAAI, ESWA, BMVC, Nature Scientific Reports, etc.), published in top-tier scientific venues. He is a reviewer of several reputed journals/conferences. He is a member of IEEE and an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports, Nature Portfolio.
