What we do?

We are leading a research group at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus, Rajasthan. Our lab primarily aims to study structures, functions, and dynamics of biomembranes and biomolecules at the ensemble and single-molecule levels. We also do fluorescent tools developments and are interested in advancing light-mediated reactions for biological applications.

We integrate the knowledge of chemistry, biology, and physics to achieve our goals. We rely on ensemble fluorescence spectroscopy techniques, single-molecule total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) imaging and confocal fluorescence microscopy-based fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) analyses.

We always look for interested and motivated persons to work with us. If you are interested, please write to Avik (email: avik.pati@pilani.bits-pilani.ac.in).
