Dr. Bharat Richhariya is Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus). Prior to this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. He completed his PhD degree in the field of machine learning from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. Prior to that, he completed his BTech and MTech degrees in Computer Science and Engineering.
Bharat is named as an Inaugural Highly Ranked Scholar by ScholarGPS for achieving a rank within top 0.05% of all scholars worldwide in the specialty of Support Vector Machine (SVM) for prior five years. He has published 19 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences. He has publications in 16 international (SCI indexed) journals of machine learning such as Pattern Recognition, Neural Networks, and Information Sciences, and over 1300 citations of his works with an h-index of 14. He is also serving as an Associate Editor of Computers and Electrical Engineering journal, Elsevier.He is the reviewer of several international SCI indexed journals including IEEE TNNLS; IEEE TSMC: Systems; IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics; Pattern Recognition; Applied Soft Computing etc.
His research interests include support vector machine, neurological disorders, universum learning and deep neural networks. He is interested in interdisciplinary research involving machine learning, neuroscience, and biomedical signal processing for automated diagnosis of brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson's disease and epilepsy.
