Prof. Srinivas Appari

Dr. Srinivas Appari is Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani; Pilani Campus. He holds PhD in Chemical Engineering from IIT Hyderabad, Telengana and his research interest lies in the areas of Reacting flows, Heterogeneous catalysis, Detailed kinetic modelling, Renewable energy sources, Computational fluid dynamics and Process modelling simulation and control. Prior to joining BITS Pilani, Dr. Srinivas was a Postdoctoral Research Associate, Institute for Materials Chemistry and Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan.

Dr. Srinivas got Academic Excellence Award- 2010 from IIT Hyderabad. He was also awarded the Japan Institute of Energy Award- 2015 for Distinguished Paper on "Chemical Structures and Primary Pyrolysis Characteristics of Lignins Obtained from Different Preparation Methods" published in Journal of the Japan Institute of Energy and also the Japan Institute of Energy Award- 2016 for Distinguished Paper on "Numerical study on steam reforming of biomass tar using detailed chemical kinetic model" published in Journal of the Japan Institute of Energy. He is involved in teaching and research at BITS Pilani since 2005.

Prof. Gautam Singhvi

Prof. Gautam Singhvi

Prof. Gautam Singhvi is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Pharmacy, BITS, Pilani. He has industrial research experience in solid oral Product Development, Process Development, Process Optimization, Process Scale-up and Technology Transfer. He has worked on immediate release and controlled release tablets, bilayer tablets, capsules and sachets and multi-particulate pellets formulations using extrusion and sphronization process for regulatory markets. Currently he is working in the area of lipid based formulations and multi particulate drug delivery systems for selected drug candidates.
