Daitri Tiwary is a quantitative researcher in the domain of financial stress & crises, exchange rate volatility and firm foreign currency borrowing in developing Asia. With more than seven years of industry experience in the domain of macroeconomic research, policy advocacy and FOREX volatility in Fortune-500 MNCs in the sector of business consulting, IT-products & manufacturing, she specializes in financial economics. Committed to impactful research which has industry relevance as well as academic rigour, her research interests include financial technology (Fintech) and financial risk modeling.

Scoring 97-percentile in UGC NET, she pursued her doctorate in management with full scholarship and BIMTECH research grant. Her thesis titled "Rupee Volatility, External Commercial Borrowings and Firm Profitability: Evidence from Indian Manufacturing Sector" was awarded First Prize in CRISIL Doctoral Symposium, 2022, preceded by the best thesis proposal award by IRMA, India in Doctoral Colloquium 2021, during Dr. Verghese Kurien Centenary Celebrations.
