I started my teaching career from a traditional college in 1989. From 1992 to 1997 I was involved in research work and in 1997 I joined English Language Teaching Institute (ELTI), Assam as a Lecturer where my job was to train teachers teaching English in government schools, and continued in that position till June 2004. During this period I traveled different parts of the north east of India to conduct workshops and training programmes for government school teachers. On 12th July 2004, I joined the then Languages Group of BITS, Pilani-Pilani Campus as a Lecturer. In 2006 I was promoted as Assistant Professor and on 1st February 2013 I became Associate Professor.
