Sainath Bitragunta received his Ph.D. in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc.), Bangalore, in 2015. He received his B.Tech. Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from SVUCE, Tirupati, in 2001. After a brief stint at Zuari Cements as a graduate engineer trainee, he joined and served as a faculty member in various academic institutions from October 2001 to November 2004. He received his M.Tech from NIT, Calicut, India, in 2007. He worked in Reliance Communications, Navi Mumbai, from June 2007 to December 2008. He published peer-reviewed journal articles in highly reputed journals like IEEE Transactions in communications, IEEE Transactions in wireless communications, IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Networking Letters, IEEE Access, IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Journal on Miniaturization for Air and Space Systems, IET Communications, IET Quantum Communication, Physical Communications, Wireless Personal Communications, Publications of the Astronomical Society of Australia (PASA). He also published in various reputed international and national conferences, out of which four papers won the best paper awards and one paper won the best poster award in photonics for renewable energy track. He is currently a senior member of the IEEE and a reviewer of various journals, international and national conferences. He has more than ten years of teaching, research, and industry experience. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus. His core research interests lie in classical and quantum, green communication systems analysis, design, and modeling.
