Biography
Sandeep Joshi received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi, where he was selected under the Visvesvaraya Ph.D. scheme for Electronics & IT sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. He worked as a Chief Engineer in the Mobile Communications research group at the Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore, where he was involved in research in the area of beyond 5G/6G communication systems. Sandeep was selected as BRICS Young Scientist 2023 to represent India in the BRICS Young Scientist Conclave 2023 held in South Africa. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a Fellow of The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) India. He is a recipient of the IETE-NV Gadadhar Memorial Award 2023. He is an Editor of the IETE Journal of Research. His research interests include 5G and beyond communications, AI in wireless communications, molecular communications, and smart grid communications.

BRICS Young Scientist 2023: Represented India in BRICS Young Scientist conclave as part of the BRICS summit held in Eastern Cape, South Africa, hosted by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI), South Africa from 31st July to 3rd Aug 2023. I was selected under the theme "The Future of Society", and delivered a talk on "AI and 5G-Enabled Diagnostics for a Healthy Society".
IETE-N V Gadadhar Memorial Award (2023): Conferred by the The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (IETE). The award was given for original contribution in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering with emphasis on Mobile Radio Communication. My proposed citation for the award was "Channel modeling and performance analysis of the fifth-generation (5G) and beyond wireless communication systems and networks".
