About
Mavis Rodrigues obtained a BA in English from Sophia College for Women, Mumbai in 2018, and a MA in Literatures in English from The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad in 2020. In her role as an Assistant Professor of English at Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Khandola, Goa, she has introduced a number of creative teaching and assessment tools to the classroom. Her research explores the literary geographies of Goa with a focus on reading, mapping, and teaching Goan literature. She dabbles in creative writing and her short story “The Heart of the Mangroves” was among twenty stories shortlisted for the Fundação Oriente Short Story Competition 2023, and was published as part of the anthology Cashew Kernels.
