About the Faculty:

Dr. Samarshi Chakraborty currently works at the Department of Chemical Engineering, BITS Pilani, K K Birla Goa Campus as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Chakraborty does research in materials Science (Nanoparticles and nanofluids), fluid dynamics, heat transfer, microplastic pollution, carbon capture and sequestration, gas hydrates, and MCDM based material selection. He is also currently serving as an editorial board member in international journals like "PLOS ONE" and "Frontiers in Thermal Engineering" since 2023. 

Prior to joining BITS Pilani as an Assistant Professor, Dr. Chakraborty previously worked as an Assistant Professor in Vellore Institute of Technology between June 2020-May 2024. Dr. Chakraborty's publications include 37 academic papers in reputed scientific journals, six book chapters, and two national patents. According to Scopus, his h index is 17.
